About Defense Pest Control
Defense Pest Control was founded in June of 2019 in Lincoln, California and moved to Auburn, California in the summer of 2020. Our owner and Operator Leish Maestas grew up watching his father begin his own pest control company and always had an interest in bugs. Leish decided after working for a large pest control company he was ready to begin his own venture in the pest industry. Since opening our mission has been to be dedicated to improving our customers quality of life by protecting their home, family, and investments from pests. We take tremendous pride in our services and are committed to providing a passionate, honest, and reliable customer service experience. We look forward to providing a pest control service our customer’s can trust and appreciate.
Leish Maestas

My name is Leish Maestas and I’m the proud owner and operator of Defense pest control. I was practically born into the bug business as my father opened and ran his own pest business when I was only 4 years old. When I was younger, he would take me to jobs with him and that’s where I fell in love with the business. His capabilities to solve someone’s problems while building a personal relationship with them is what I admired most. After graduating from Del Oro High School, I worked at a Corporate Pest control company for a couple years before starting Defense Pest Control in 2019. Every day since then, I have had the opportunity to service and care for customers the Defense way.
Taylor Aidnik
Scheduling/Customer Service Specialist
I have been with Defense Pest Control since 2019, when my partner Leish Maestas started this company and I started helping fulltime in 2020. Before working with Defense Pest Control fulltime, I used to be a doctor’s technician at an Optometrist office and enjoyed working with our patients and learning things every day. As the Scheduling/Customer service specialist at Defense Pest Control, I answer all calls, emails and texts regarding scheduling, payment, or other inquiries. I believe in finding solutions to problems and communicating to make everyone’s experience as pleasant as possible.
Kyle Monks
Field Technician
Hi, my name is Kyle Monks, I have been a field technician with Defense pest control since June of 2021. My main role as a part of the team is to maintain field operations such as assessing pest issues and performing interior treatments, rodent control, and routine services. Prior to my employment with Defense pest control I worked for a small off-road company where I was able to develop skills in welding and metal fabrication which furthered my interest in automotive technology. My goal with Defense pest control is to deliver a quality service where our customers can live comfortably and feel assured knowing their home is pest safe.
